Project CURE

$25,000 + a lot of heart = $450,000

A cargo container of hospital and medical supplies were shipped in October 2016 and arrived in Mali's capital city Bamako in January 2017. After some delay the container at last arrived in Segou, delivered to L’Hôpital Niankoro Fomba. VFOM/Project CURE project manager and former sister city committee president, Madani SISSOKO, and VFOM's Bamako representative Kalifa TOURE, were on hand with hospital director Dr. Abdoulaye SANOGO, the city's new mayor Nouhoum DIARRA, and former mayor Ousmane SIMAGA to accept delivery during a formal celebration held on March 16, 2017.

In partnership with Rotary Club partners in the US and Mali, we are raising funds to send two more containers this year. That's nearly a million dollars worth of life-saving medical equipment and supplies for just $50,000. We have commitment for $25,000 and need your help to raise the remaining $20,000. Two anonymous donors have so far pledged $500 each. Perhaps you'll join them!

2017 Goal: $25,000    Raised: $1,000    Remaining: $24,000
